Beautiful Jewelry Watches
Diamonds, gemstones, and inspired design combine to create these stunning jewelry watches.
What makes a jewelry watch? It’s more than just diamonds on the bezel or on the dial. These watches are so stylish and elegant that they make a statement on their own, no additional jewelry required. Looking for more glamour? Be sure to check out our feature on high-jewelry watches and secret watches, which are so fabulous that they need their own articles. These jewelry watches run the gamut from watches that look like bracelets to artistic gem-set watches with diamonds and gemstones.
Breguet Reine de Naples 8938
Breguet’s Reine de Naples is one of the most iconic watches of all time. Not only is it instantly recognizable due to its elegant, oval-shaped case, but it is also one of the first wristwatches ever made. Today, it comes in many iterations, making it a perfect choice for a jewelry watch. This model has an 18K white gold case, bezel, and lug fully set with diamonds, and there’s even a diamond on the crown, too. The dial is covered with 384 snow-set diamonds. It has a shimmering mother-of-pearl chapter ring with Breguet numerals for the hours. The Reine de Naples 8938 features an automatic movement with a platinum rotor visible through the sapphire caseback.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Frosted Gold Double Balance Wheel Openworked
Audemars Piguet takes a different approach to jewelry timepieces in its frosted watches. Instead of focusing solely on diamonds or gemstones, the Swiss watch brand collaborated with Italian jewelry designer Carolina Bucci to create a special “frosted” finish on the bracelet. Artisans use a diamond-tipped tool to decorate the bracelet, which removes tiny pieces of gold and creates a hammered effect. This frosted finish adds quite a bit of sparkle to the bracelet; it almost looks like it is covered in pavé diamonds. While the glittery appearance of the bracelet is due to an optical effect, the 41mm watch does have real gemstones around the bezel. It features a rainbow of baguette-cut gemstones between the Royal Oak’s iconic visible screws.
In addition to its jewelry finishes, the Royal Oak Frosted Gold Double Balance Wheel Openworked has a gorgeous skeletonized dial that gives you a peek at the inner workings of the watch. I love the contrast of the visible mechanical movement and the sparkle of the gemstones.
Graff Inspired by Twombly
This gorgeous jewelry watch highlights Graff’s diamond-setting expertise. It features a design inspired by American artist Cy Twombly’s paintings, which are known for their swirls and scribbles. Graff interprets these artworks through three-dimensional intersecting loops of diamonds, mixing round and baguette-cut diamonds. Within these spirals, there’s a petite round watch dial with concentric circles of diamonds. In total, the watch features 26.30 carats of diamonds.
Piaget Limelight Gala Precious
Piaget’s iconic Limelight Gala has graced the wrists of stylish women since it debuted in 1973. Since then, it has gone through countless iterations that showcase Piaget’s expertise in watchmaking and jewelry. This model has an elegant 18K rose gold bracelet and dial engraved with the maison’s distinctive Palace decoration, which adds a lovely texture to the watch. The Limelight Gala watch is instantly recognizable due to its asymmetrical, elongated lugs that curve around the dial. This 32mm model has a gem-set bezel and lugs featuring a rainbow gradient of colored sapphire and tsavorite. Inside is an automatic mechanical movement that you can admire through the open caseback.
